Sibshops
Sibshops are lively, action packed, 3 hour workshops from 2-5 p.m., that celebrate the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs. Sibshops acknowledge that being the brother or sister of a person with special needs is for some a good thing, others a not-so-good thing, and for many, somewhere in between. They reflect a belief that brothers and sisters have much to offer one another-if they are given a chance.
For brothers and sisters, ages 6 to 9, of children with special developmental and learning needs and/or special health concerns (including but not limited to: diabetes, cancer, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy and heart, kidney, liver, gastronintestinal, lung disease, autism, Down syndrome, ADD/ADHD, and developmental delays).
Sibshop also offered on: June 5, 2010.
